Talking to myself by yohji yamamoto 2002
“Talking to myself” (2002) is a two volumes publication that celebrates the first twenty years of activity of Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto. The first volume documents Yamamoto in the intimacy of ”the making of”, being intent on adjusting clothes or watching his models with attention and wonder. The great number of original drawings and sketches included shows the creativity of Yamamoto and reveals his unconventional and revolutionary approach to fashion design. The volume is completed with a biographical note by philosopher Kiyokazu Washida and some intriguing considerations on fashion by Yohji Yamamoto. The second volume is a complete guide to all his collections from 1982 to 2002, and shows the most representative creations presented during fashion events in Paris.
