In ‘81 Sony president Akio Morita asked Issey Miyake to redesign the company uniform.

Miyake responded with this sand-colored utility vest: lightweight technical cotton, crimson piped edges, triple cargo pockets, and a stealthy underarm zipper, equal parts factory and futurism.
